ServicesMarylou Smith Marylou has joined Empowered Transformations as an advanced level PSYCH-K Facilitator providing phone sessions to people from all over the world as well as private sessions to individuals residing in the New Orleans, LA area. Having opened her private practice in New Orleans January 2008, she provides an environment in which her clients access their own inner strength and innate wisdom, allowing them to powerfully move forward in the creation of a purposeful life. Marylou’s approach is gentle, compassionate and focused. She brings with her a background in psychology, counseling, and 12-step recovery work that provides a rich tapestry of life experiences in support of her PSYCH-K practice. Her work in business consulting, mediation, conflict resolution, group facilitation and education all add substance and depth to her work. Bruce Hinson, M.A. Bruce joins Empowered Transformations as part of a further expansion of personal services. For the last dozen years he's worked as a Mental Health Specialist for Lane County Behavioral Health in Eugene, Oregon. He has training in many modalities for healing and assistance, including Psych-K (Basic and Advanced), EFT (Basic and Advanced), Reiki (Level I Practitioner), and now EIP Resolution. In addition he earned a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and holds State and national certifications for Addictions Counseling. He has spent more than a quarter century working within addictions treatment settings, both urban and rural, and at inpatient and outpatient levels. He works with humor and insight from a personal family history of addiction and recovery. While on a short sabbatical in 2006 he searched out new energy methods which held the opportunity to create rapid change for his clients without the need for re-traumatizing talk therapy. This search led eventually to Empowered Transformations and the Heart Centered work being done here. Bruce underwent a death experience and subsequent life saving liver transplant in 2003, and is drawn to those with decisions to make as to which road to take in their life's journeys. The changes for the positive he's witnessed in the last four years have led him to associate with this Teacher and this Work in particular as the most elegant and cutting edge tools for personal self empowerment and loving regeneration yet known. His wish is to serve in the facilitation of peaceful, positive change for others.
